Our feature album this week is from American singer songwriter Anderson .Paak with his third studio album ‘Oxnard.’
Arguably one of the most interesting hip-hop musicians to come out of the last decade, Anderson .Paak exceeds all expectations with ‘Oxnard’. Following 2016’s ‘Malibu’, ‘Oxnard’ serves as the final entry in Paak’s “beach series”. The record takes particular influence from Jay-Z’s ‘The Blueprint’ and Kanye West’s ‘The College Dropout’.
Produced with the help of Dr Dre, ‘Oxnard’ is Paak’s first release on Aftermath Entertainment and 12 Tone Music. It features a range of collaborations with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, , Pusha T, Snoop Dogg, J.Cole and a range of other hip-hop talents.
Featured Tracks: Tints (feat. Kendrick Lamar), Who R U?, 6 Summers, Mansa Musa (feat. Dr. Dre & Coca Sarai), Anywhere (feat. Snoop Dogg & The Last Artful, Dodgr), and Cheers (feat. Q-Tip).
