This week in Brian’s Special he features American singer Julius LaRosa, who had ten hits in the Top 21 in the United States between 1953 and 1958. Julius was an Italian-American traditional popular music singer, who worked in both radio and television beginning in the 1950’s. Julius first came to popularity as a regular singer on the Arthur Godfrey Talent Show in America, but Arthur eventually fired him! In spite of that, he continued a very successful lifetime career as an entertainer. We’ll trace his career and play lots of his recordings.
