Our feature album this week is from father and son Neil and Liam Finn with their latest album ‘Lightsleeper’
Former Crowded House front-man Neil Finn has been quite active over the past few years since the group split apart in 1996. Embarking on both an ambitious solo career as well as launching the collaborative project with his brother Tim, Neil has continued his creative journey as a one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded musical icons.
In 2015, Neil continued his musical career alongside his son Liam. The two performed a series of on-stage concerts before deciding to record their first collaborative project ‘Lightsleeper’ in 2018. The album combines both Neil and Liam’s musical influences into a masterfully-crafted 11-track musical initiative. Both artists feel at home, whilst that doesn’t discourage them to experiment with interesting musical compositions such as in Where’s My Room and We Know What It Means.
Featured Tracks: Where’s My Room, Back To Life, Ghosts, and We Know What It Means.
