Songs of the Week – 04/11/2018

This is the third edition of Songs of the Week looking at the freshest new releases from each week.

Last week was a very exciting week to be an Aussie music fan. Blue Mountains legends Hermitude surprised us with their brand new single Stupid World (feat. Bibi Bourelly); their first release since 2016’s banging Vibration and Gimme. Local pop-genius Charlie Hole, aka. Bajillionaire, shared with us summers next pop-anthem Empty (feat. AJ King). Crooked Colours dropped their vibey new single Do It Like You. On top of this, the highly anticipated Hayden James and Running Touch collaboration Better Together released in all its club fuelled glory.

For those future-bass fans, you were in luck! Aussie music icon Just A Gent released his magical concept EP http://EP . In his own words, Jacob says the EP “is [a] conglomeration of the favourite tracks of five human/androids and what they were listening to when the world fell apart.” (lucky them). On the other side of the music world, Tame Impala came back with his fourth collaboration of 2018, this time with New York musician Theophilus London for their song Only You.
