This week featured a stack of new Australian releases; including music from Alice Ivy, Hilltop Hoods, Julia Jacklin, and Keonico!
To start us off, Julia Jacklin dropped her absolutely stunning sophomore-record Crushing. Focused around a series of revelations made by Jacklin as a young-adult, the album delves into themes of heart-break, changing bodies, and the philosophy of the mind. It’s beautiful, and proves Jacklin is one of the generations finest songwriter’s.
Following this, Aussie-electronic duo Hermitude shared their second single Every Day (feat. Hoodlem). Being almost four years since the release of Dark Night Sweet Light, Hermitude fans can only hope that this track is a sign that a new record is soon upon us.
