Songs of the Week (23.03.2019)

This week in music saw some old faces return unexpectedly to bless us with new tunes; including Flume, Tame Impala and more!

For die-hard Flume fans, this week will go down as being one of the most exciting weeks ever. Remaining quiet for the past two years (aside from some brief collaborations with Greenpeace and Ta-ku) Flume suddenly returned in 2019 to drop a 17-track mixtape titled Hi This Is Flume. Taking electronic production to a whole new dimension, the mixtape features some of Flume’s most impressive and experimental productions to date.

On top of this, Tame Impala surprised the world with their first song in over 4 years; Patience. Excluding some minor releases in 2017 and 2018, this is the group’s first official tease of their fourth studio-album. Other releases this week included brand new tracks from Lizzo, The Chats, Shlohmo and Jess Day.
