With international travel beyond our reach at present due to the corona virus pandemic, Brian says we can still reminisce and dream of travel. How about PARIS? In the first hour this week, we’ll hear music from the many films set in that enchanting city.
And in our second hour, we’ll have another in our series featuring studio orchestra leaders of the 1940s and 50s. Hugo Winterhalter provided the orchestral backing for many of the artists at RCA Victor in the early 1950s after he left Columbia, and he also produced several orchestral hits and albums. We’ll talk about Hugo and play lots of his recordings in the first of a two part series this week.
