2RRR’s very own Radio Training Course is a great way to equip yourself with the tools to become a part of community radio. It will give you the skills you need to produce engaging radio, plus it’s a whole lot of fun! The training course’s lecturer is Steve Ahern. Steve is an Australian radio trainer, historian and international consultant in modern broadcast media. He previously held the senior executive position of Director of Radio at Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS) and was a senior manager at ABC Radio. He also has international experience in the media and training sectors. Steve was awarded an Order of Australia medal in 2009 for his contributions to the radio industry and education in Australia.
The course consists of 2 x 2 hours sessions each week 8 weeks. 2 Hour Lectures are held Tuesday nights and 2 Hour panel training sessions are at the 2RRR studios in Henley. A certificate of attainment is awarded on the completion of the course.
