‘The Invisible Man’ is a very enjoyable horror/ thriller from Leigh Whannell. It features some really cool sequences, especially during the second half of the film. Plus, it is interesting learning more and more about Cecilia’s situation and who exactly is hunting her down.
There were a couple moments where I thought character development was forced, and in the context of the narrative unnecessary. However, there weren’t too many of them.
The highlights for me where in the action sequences which I think were very well done. Leigh’s last film ‘Upgrade’ is one of the best action films I’ve seen, and I think this film continues to showcase why Leigh is so good at filming action scenes without needing a huge budget or huge set pieces. Score: 4.0/5
